Create A Task
Management creates a task in the Jolt web portal. Included are details, such as a due date, a required photo or QR code, and a training video.

Assign The Task
The employee receives a task on their Jolt app. They get an instant notification, and the task appears on their to-do list.

Employee Finishes Task
The employee completes the work and marks it off the list. The system automatically creates a time-stamped record for manager.
How Do I Get My Employees To Use IT? Here’s an Example of How This Works.
A manager was having an issue with employees putting the trash outside the back door vs walking it the extra 15ft to the dumpster. When asked who was doing this, no one spoke up and the problem persisted unless management was micromanaging taking out the trash or doing it themself. This caused a stinky mess and potentially a safety issue behind the back door, something an inspector wouldn’t overlook.
SOLUTION: The store began using Jolt Lists and created the task “Take trash out and place it in the dumpster”. To ensure this task was done correctly, the company slapped on a QR code on the front of the dumpster, the employee that now got assigned this task couldn’t check this task off as complete unless the QR code was scanned. This created accountability, the employee assigned this task now knew how to complete the task correctly and could not mark it complete unless they took a live scan of the QR code. Management no longer needed to hope and beg, instead they knew which employee was assigned the task and could see in real-time if the task was completed.
Moving forward, this eliminated the problem, stopped the frustrations of telling the crew how to do the task correctly only to see it again wasn’t done right. This also, gave the manager freedom to watch from afar without the need to hover. A manager could even be at home and know for certainly if the task was completed or not.
